Pursuant to a dream last night about a dead deer, Facebook activity started by me at Walt Legraves’ Faceook page today, as per his invitation in the April 26th edition of bigpinekey.com’s Coconut Telegraph blog,

Deer EdKey deer

published by Deer Ed:

from the right

“Fifth: I have moved the flag to Facebook. I’m learning the medium and enjoying it immensely. I urge my critics to come and do battle, to come and defend their beliefs; but they won’t, they simply do not have the stones to step out of the cloak of anonymity. They are back shooters. Oh well, hopefully some folks who are interested in truth will come over and join the dialog. You can find me on Facebook at Walt Lagraves. All the best to the CT community. Walt Lagraves”

Deer Ed once wrote to his readers that he wished he had more contributing writers like Walt and Sloan Bashinsky, but he didn’t see that happening. Ed wrote that when he was getting sharply criticized for publishing stuff from me on the Coconut Telegraph. In Walt’s defense, he was catching heavy chicken little flack, too. I didn’t read Walt all that much on the Coconut Telegraph, because he was blaming everything wrong with America on President Obama and the Democrats, present and past, and I felt there was plenty of blame to lay on the Republicans and their past presidents, too. It didn’t look to me that Walt was getting much reader interaction, yet, with his new Faceook page, here’s his most recent post there:

So I provided Walt with a little company:

Walt, the Coconut Telegraph seems to have gone down again, nothing new there since Wednesday, May 13. Do you know anything about that? On the politics front, do you honestly, in your heart of hearts, actually believe the Republican have not messed up America just as bad as the Democrats? Looks to me they both carry the blame and need to be pointing as many fingers at themselves and their leaders, as they point away from themselves and their leaders. LOL (laugh out loud, lots of luck - you pick

feeling excited.

  • Sloan Bashinsky I’m glad to see you came out from behind your anonymous FTR (From the Right) pen name at the Coconut Telegraph, and challenged the chicken littles there to do the same with you here on your FB page. Deer Ed was in love with and promoted the CT as being a place where people could weigh in anonymously about any and everything, and take cheap shots at other people about any and everything. I’m wondering if that is what eventually wore him out, and if he had made them put their names and faces on their cheap shots, at least, the CT would have not been so much fun for the chicken littles and that would have hastened the CTs demise, or near demise, sooner. I got on Ed and his chicken littles, many times bout their yellow streaks, and, of course, Ed refused to budge and his chicken littles continued to tear into me from behind their individual tightly-circled wagons, inside of which perhaps not even the other chicken littles knew who they were. I’m not one of the screaming liberals you decry. If I were King, I would make belonging to a political party a capital offense, punishable by a variety of suitable silencing methods dating back in history. As for my budding campaign for US President, in 2016, I’m the one nation, under God, candidate, since America brags in its Pledge of Allegiance that it is one nation, under God, and since I don’t see any other candidate running with it, or having an inkling what being a nation under God actually means or entails. This is not a religious platform, religion and God are a bit different - VASTLY different, actually, so no First Amendment problem, since the First only prohibits establishment of religion by our government, and God is not religion. God is simply God, and religion tries to make God in its own image. However, a wee problem for political parties is they are religions, and being recognized and sanctioned by the US Government violates the First, but, what the heck, free speech is protected by the First, too, and freedom of, and from, religion, as well. Too bad, for America, the Founding Fathers didn’t confess political parties were religions and deal with that back then. Now look what a mess they left us. Here’s one of the tried and true ways to deal with members of political parties.

    Sloan Bashinsky's photo.
  • Sloan Bashinsky Here’s another way, for people who worship two religions, counting their political party and the one that honors this fellow mostly in the breach. He didn’t seem fond of religion or politics.

    Sloan Bashinsky's photo.
  • Sloan Bashinsky For your FB readers information, below your CT logo is your move to Facebook announcement on the April 26 CT - in my spirit code, 26 is the sacred number for God.

    Sloan Bashinsky's photo.
From the Right on the CT:
Just for the record. First: I did not choose the “handle” FTR. I believe it was our Deer Ed or one of the readers who invented it. It is the acronym for “From the Right”. I did not invent that “handle” either, although I do wish I had invented both handles. Once again it was either the invention of Deer Ed or readers. I like both handles.

Second: anonymity was not my idea, it is the ground rule of the CT, and it is ironic that yesterday’s bitcher is also anonymous.

Third: I did not ask our Deer Ed to label me “one of the leading conservatives of our time.” I’m flattered that he thinks that is so, but he is wrong.

Fourth: As much as I would have liked to continue posting on CT, our Deer Ed decided to change the format. That is his right, and I wish him well in the new format.

Fifth: I have moved the flag to Facebook. Walt Lagraves

  • Sloan Bashinsky and here is how one of Deer Ed’s readers felt about the new CT, just before your moving notice, including Deer Ed’s freedom of speech reply.
  • “Deer Ed, we who enjoyed the old CT with all the political and local static wonder how you are healing after your castration? Who cut them off the local power boyz or the sewer rats? The new world order CT is nothing but a sissified patch of useless electrons. We also wonder what our freedom of the press and speech will be like with people like you cutting off all our sacks? Things change and usually not for the better!” (Formerly Ed: This poster has been banned. This is the kind of crap I hate.)
  • Sloan Bashinsky And for your Christian readers, of course none of this applies to practitioners of other religions, some remarks Jesus made in the Gospels about who is in his flock.
  • Sloan Bashinsky Take no thought for the morrow, because each day has enough trouble of it’s own. Put your faith in God, and God will provide you with what you need.

Interesting advice, from a homeless man.

As was other advice he gave, in the Gospels:

Give up and eye for and eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

Resist not one who does evil.

    Turn the other cheek.

Do good to and pray for those who persecute you.

First, take the beam out of your own eye.

Judge not, and be not judged in kind, by God.

If a man takes your goods, ask not for them back.

If a man asks for your shirt, offer him also your coat.

If a man asks you to walk a mile with him, walk more miles with him.

If a man takes you to court, settle with him along the way, lest the judge throws you in prison.

As you do to, for, the least of people, you do also unto me.

Those who hear my sayings and do them are like the wise man who built his house on a rock, and when the flood came, the house stood fast; but those who hear my sayings and do not do them, are like a foolish man who built his house on sand, and when the flood came, the house fell down, and the fall was great.

  • Sloan Bashinsky Oh, my pardon, I believe Jesus also said, you cannot worship God and mammon.
  • Sloan Bashinsky

    Sloan Bashinsky's photo.
  • Walt Lagraves Sloan: In my heart of hearts I fully and completely believe that the Dem’s have screwed the pooch more frequently and infinitely deeper than the Reps. As to the CT. In my last commo with Deer Ed, about a week ago, he advised that he was nearly ready to get going again with a new format. I gathered it would work something like FB.
  • Sloan Bashinsky Walt, I know you feel that way about the Demos, in your heart of hearts, and I feel that way about the Republicans and the Democrats, in my heart of hearts, and the angels ain’t enthralled with either party, either. I hope Ed gets back in action, maybe the new format he is working on offering will lend better to what he hopes to achieve on the CT. He is prone to edit hard what is submitted, based on my submissions and what I have seen from other CT readers. I hope he doesn’t do that if he starts a FB type sub-forum for you at the CT. There are a few other points trailing what I posted earlier here, which I will jot down next.
  • Sloan Bashinsky Now that it is seen what a mess was made by US invading Iraq, then Afghanistan, how come President Obama, at least, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, amazingly, outrageously, did not get American troops and civilian contractors out of Iraq and Afghanistan right after he got elected in 2008, after indicating thought his campaign that year, that was what he intended to do? I will go to my grave thinking G.W. Bush invaded Iraq for its oil, and to get even with Saddam for him trying to kill G.W.’s dad, who had kinda treated Saddam sort of shabby. Saddam felt he had been given a pass by the American ambassador, that US would not object to Iraq invading Kuwait. He then felt he had been set up by his old pal, G.W.’s father.
  • Sloan Bashinsky It was long hoped a natural gas pipeline would be built through Afghanistan into the natural gas fields lying to the east. Halliburton, for which Vice-President Dick Cheney was head honcho, was a super big US defense contractor, and into oil and natural gas. Halliburton stood to, and did make heap wampums in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Gosh, was either of those wars worth one dead, maimed or post traumatic stressed American soldier or contract civilian, or the trauma families of same suffered? I suppose it wouldn’t be cricket to ask the same question for the Iraq and Afghanistan troops and their families. As bad a cluster you know what as Vietnam, which the US waged to try to get that countries rubber tree output, and to try out its new weapons against the Soviet ally, North Vietnam.
  • Sloan Bashinsky Then, Israel. Oh, me, did America initial recognition of Israel in 1948, even when the British didn’t want to do it, and then America’s continued alliance with Israel, also fan the flames of radical Islam hatred of America, resurrecting the ire Islam held in long memory from the Crusades. I see one reason why America went with Israel. The Christian Bible, in which the Jews are said to be God’s chosen people. What happened to the First Amendment proscription against Congress establishing a religion? For that’s what US and Israel are all about - the Bible. Just as the other side is all about that, too - the Koran. Alas, they outnumber Americans about 3-1, and they could care less how we feel about them. Make no mistake, Walt, even Saudi Arabia is backing the jihadists against America. The backing is covert, funded by what America pays the jihadists for Saudi oil.
  • Sloan Bashinsky If America were smart, it would disassociate entirely from Israel and pull all of its troops and spies and ambassadors out of the Middle East. That’s what I would do, if I were President - first order I give. Then, I would be shot dead by a member of my Secret Service team. Or maybe I already would be shot dead, because I said what was the first thing I would do. And the second thing, end all interaction with Israel over which I, as President, have control
  • Sloan Bashinsky I’m including this FB thread today, with your entry yesterday on Marco Rubio, to which I have no comment presently, in today’s “Sloan Bashinsky, the one nation, under God, candidate for US President, 2015, launches his campaign in California, Sicily and elsewhere, and lends comfort and aid to From the Right, a political refuge from bigpinekey.com’s once widely read vicious Coconut Telegraph blog, where the men are men and the doe key deer are afraid” post, as reported at http://goodmorningkeywest.com/?p=30118

  • Sloan BashinskyI’m going to share a drawing my running make Kari did and mailed to me. It’s done in golf pencil, the only thing jail inmates are allowed to write and draw with, so it’s faint, but perhaps you guys and dolls can make it out, click on it to make it larger. It sort of goes with the photo of her and me I’ve been bandying about, taken in front of Burger King by an innocent, unsuspecting bystander, which I will drop in next, Then a photo you took, Tim. Maybe your California chums would like to see what my better half looks like, very dangerous person. • Sloan Bashinsky As I have explained before, Kari is in jail for probation violation, she wasn’t supposed to drink vodka, or any kind of booze, following being put on probation after pleading nolo contendre (no contest, I don’t admit or deny the charges) to discharging a Colt Python .357 magnum inside the county limits, at one frog making a heap of commotion in her boyfriend’s swimming pool on Key Largo, and, Kari told me, for later pointing said now empty firearm, still containing the spent cartridge at the tenant in her elderly, somewhat infirm boyfriend’s home, where she lived and also took care of her boyfriend’s invalid son, after said tenant, who was not paying his rent, came in drunk and did damage to the kitchen refrigerator door, and got into a screaming match with Kari’s boyfriend, who told him to move out, and when he didn’t, Kari went and got the Colt Python, still in its holster, and waved, still in its holster, it at the deadbeat tenant, and told him he had been told to leave, and he laughed at her and went outside and called 911, and deputy sheriffs came and arrested Kari and took her to jail, after questioning her about the spent cartridge and she said it was when she’d shot a loud frog.

I imagine every American who holds the Second Amendment dear, the right to bear arms, and every American member of the National Rifle Association, and every American who believes a home is his/her castle, would have a hard time, under those facts, not sympathizing with Kari, for trying to protect her challenged boyfriend and his home and invalid son from that drunk, deadbeat, loud, disrespectful tenant. I bet every alcoholic in America would feel much the same, knowing Kari was drinking herself when that happened, which, she said, is why the charges were increased to aggravated assault. That’s a lot of votes out there, folks. Maybe half of America’s voters, or maybe three-quarters.

Now, of course, a person with a felony conviction cannot run for or hold public office. But I know for a fact, that Florida, among other states, including my home state, Alabama has a history of its governors granting pardons to convicted felons represented by lawyers in the know, to clear those convicted felons’ records and restore their forfieted citizen rights.

I also know for a fact, that important people, lawyers, doctors, etc., in Alabama, have been known to plead nolo contendre (no contest, I don’t admit or deny the charges), to avoid having their professional licenses taken away.

But even if none of that is in play, available to Kari, there still is nothing to prevent registered voters in America voting on election day 2015 for Kari and me, by writing our names on the part of their ballot where they vote for President and Vice-President. Might not be legal, in it will get counted sense, but it will be written on their ballots. As would be on their ballots, legal or not, if they wrote inStead, “NONE OF THE ABOVE”, or “RE-ELECT NO ONE”.

Kari told me yesterday when I visited her in the jail, that she shot the wrong frog, and the two frogs she Should have shot, who were not princes, died.

One frog was killed, her second husband who stole their daughter with the help of upper Keys judges. The father was known to be playing sex games with their young daughter, and he got custody anyway, because he had connections and Kari was an alcoholic. Kari seemed very disturbed yesterday that she did not get to shoot the bastard.

The other frog was the challenged elderly man man Kair was living with, who, along with his invalid grown son, had called deputies on her, whenever they and Kari got into an argument, and the deputies were tired of going to that home and arresting Kari, not the other two, and they fixed that by arresting Kari and charging her with a felony, aggravated assault, while letting the drunk, deadbeat, refrigerator-wrecking tenant walk.

I imagine more disgruntled sympathy votes for Kari can be corralled in that segment of her bubba justice fiesta. I’d have loved to see how you would have handled that incident, Supercop. I bet it wouuld have been a barn burner. I bet it would. I bet the Silicians would have done it a bit different, too, Don Emilio. I bet they would.

Now, according to Kari’s probation officer, the former deadbeat tenant is nowhere to be found. Kari said she did not see him at her trial, where her public defender lawyer leaned on her to take the nolo plea. If the deadbeat wasn’t there, the state could not have made out a case, and the judge would have had to dismiss the charges, after Kari had served many months in jail.

Her boyfriend, who had kept calling the deputies on her, had died when she was in jail all those months waiting trial. He did not make her bond. So, instead of being released by the judge on probation, to go back to live with her boyfriend, now dead, Kari was released in Key West, where she had never lived, to be homeless. And to remain homeless, so far. And now twice be jailed for drinking and violating her probation.

I really cannot imagine how many tens of millions of American alcoholics and other kinds of drug addicts sympathize with Kari. Even I, who don’t use booze or other narcotics, including tobacco, sympathize with Kari. Even I, who have told her many times, when she gets out, we won’t be a team, if she goes back to her habits, sympathize with her. And, there are a few other frogs I think need retiring. Her public defender lawyer. The judges who took her daughter away from her and gave him to a known child molester, instead of to family services. And the deputies who did not arrest the drunk, abusive tenant and take him to jail, too.

About Sloan

Darn, that would take a while. Try the autobiographical pages in the header. Ditto for header menu pages at www.goodmorningbirmingham.com. Hatched and raised there, eventually I ran away from home. Here's a short list: Born 1942; male; spoken for; accused of all sorts of imaginable and unimaginable things, perhaps some true. Live on Key West of Weird asteroid. Publish something most days at goodmorningkeywest.com, been at that since July 2007. That's heaps of catch-up reading, probably not recommended.
