Below are excerpts from several posts at goodmorningkeywest.com, which pertain to Key West’s Super Cop, whom I have the good fortune to now know.

The fact is, KWPD created the Charles Eimers publicity, by killing Charles Eimers, and then by trying to cover it up in the face of evidence they lied, perjured themselves, and even laughed as they killed him.

I had an interesting conversation at Higgs Beach this afternoon with a 78-year-old vicious van dweller criminal, who just happens to be a retired Ohio deputy sheriff, who went full-time to living in her van this past spring, because her income is limited and that is all she can afford.

Her name is Pat, and she told me she’d be happy to tell this story to Bill Becker on his US 1 Radio show, and to Mayor Craig Cates and to Police Chief Donnie Lee and to Paul Clarin, Publisher of The Citizen, and to Arnaud and Naja Girard at the blue paper.

So, it’s Christmas Eve, just a little over a week ago. Pat goes into the Shell station/convenience store on the corner of North Roosevelt Blvd. and Kennedy Drive, and asks the lady manager if she can park her vehicle in the station’s parking area over night? The lady manager says sure, use a handicap parking place, since she has a handicap sticker on her van. Pat says she always asks if she can park over night, at Walmart, highway rest stops, etc.

So, 1:30 in the morning, Pat is awakened by metal tapping against one of the van’s windows and the side of the van, and hearing two people outside, a man and a woman, yelling for her to wake up and come out of the van, this is the police! This is repeated a few times. along with it’s raining and cold, and they are standing out there in it getting wet. Get her butt out there! She cracks a window and tells them she hears them and is coming out the side door. They keep at it.

Out on the parking lot, the two cops give Pat more hell, they can take her to jail. The Shell Station manager called them and complained about her being there. She tells them the manager told her she could stay there. The cops say the manager didn’t give her permission, she is trespassing, they can take her to jail. Pat says she is not trespassing, but she will leave. She walks around the van to get into the driver’s seat, as the cops retreat and she doesn’t know what happens to them after that. She leaves.

Christmas Eve. I bet those cops were Christians. Praise Jesus! Their Lord and Savior. Who was homeless. I bet Mayor Cates will love hearing that story, proud he will be of those two cops.

I told Pat that’s how the Key West cops are with homeless people, including people who live in their vehicles. I said that’s how Charles Eimers, who was known to be unarmed and no threat to the cops, got killed: the cops thought he was living in his car.

I said I had told Hatman to tell the judge, when his case for living in his vehicle came up, that his van was his home, the only home he could afford, and it was unconstitutional for the city to take his home away from him. Hatman had said he would tell the judge that, but he didn’t; I was at his trial and wanted to ring his neck for not telling the judge that.

I told Pat not to expect anything from Craig Cates, nor from Donie Lee. Maybe Paul Clarin would be moved by her story. Maybe Bill Becker would like to have her on the air with him, he reads my daily posts, I keep hearing. Pat gave me her business card with her phone number on it. Interesting, she tells me her story after I published this morning Kali going on the warpath in Key West, America and beyond.

I know plenty of people think I’m deranged writing about such things as Kali, or I’m using metaphor, or I’m dreaming. None of the above. Kali is all too real, like Jesus is all too real. Human beings need to get to know those two better. Fun city!

About Pat (Super Cop), someone wrote to me:

Snoopy Detective

Subject: Article re “Pat”

Good evening Sloan. I’m curious about “Pat” from your article. I don’t believe in coincidences so when I read your post about her, something didn’t sit quite right.

Was this an older, dark blue van; white female, probably gray now, short (may have been curly) hair, with none or very poor teeth, may wear large-lens glasses?

It just so happens that Jake Brady (a ‘sergeant’ with MCSO, who works at the KW Airport) is from Maumee, Ohio, as is his family, including his mother “Pat”. One of his brothers works in the Marathon jail (pays to rent a home from an MCSO Captain) and one of his (Jake’s) sons works for MCSO in Islamorada (but lives in Dade County). Jake Brady is one of the guys who ran for sheriff against Rick Ramsay.

If it is the same “Pat”, she was not a deputy in Ohio. Her sons will not allow her to live with them or even live in her van on their rented homes there in the Keys. She has traveled/lived like this for many (15+) years. She has a long (civil) court record if you look her up…provided she gave the correct last name…Her maiden name was Rister but she has been known to go by Rister-Brady, Paskiewicz. Her middle name is Ann and there were a couple of other last names that she went by but I can’t recall them now. She lived (in a house) on Grassy Key for many years.

Please don’t post my name or e-mail address. I have additional information on the family, if this is the same “Pat”.

I replied same day:

Her hair is not particularly short and is straight. She has teeth. She talks like an ex-deputy sheriff, she told me stories about being a deputy, and how she became one. I will speak with her.

This came back same day:

Could be a different person; the similarities are uncanny.
Thanks for your time.

I reported back last night:

Evening, Y (for female) –

I just spent about an hour and a half talking with Pat, there are no similarities, other than perhaps two people from Ohio who live in their vans.

Pat’s van is not blue.

I summarized your email, and on her own Pat went and got her credentials: paramedic card, firefighters card, deputy sheriff card with her photo on it, different county from your suspect. Pat told me one story after another about cases she handled, often alone. She told me she did undercover in another Ohio county than where she lived. She had me in stitches.

This, Y, is a real cop, nothing like what KWPD has. This is an honest cop. A tough cop. A cop the bad people bowed to where she lived and worked. A cop her entire community knew and respected. A cop her Sheriff and Sergeant loved and respected.

Her deputy license indicates the term of her duty as a deputy is “Indefinite”. Meaning, she has a job waiting back there, if she wants to go back to being a cop. She said she quit because of a severe medical situation, from which she now seems recovered.

At my suggestion, Pat said, yes, she’d be happy to consult Key West city government, if the pay is right, re cleaning up its police department and running it correctly, but she does not want the police chief job.

I’m hoping Bill Becker will interview her, but he will have to go through me and I will let Pat know and she will contact him.

Same, I’m hoping Naja and Arnaud Girard will interview and run a real story on Pat.

What a great thing to have a first-class cop, who is not afraid to speak the truth, as a role model right here in Key West.

It indeed was no coincidence, Y. If you had not written to me, I’m not entirely convinced you weren’t put up to it, that it’s not a ploy to try to get more information on Pat to somehow cause her grief, whatever, I might not have had the incredible experience talking with her again today, which I only briefly summarized for you.

Pat said she was the first female deputy in her area, which was a really big deal back then. She went to all the cop schools that were available, including S.W.A.T, but because she was female, she did not work on a S.W.A.T.. She told of saving a S.W.A.T.’s butts in a hostage situation, in which she and other deputies were holding the perimeter, which the S.W.A.T. team was just about to seriously screw up, and she went in and took care of it one on one with the hostage-taker, who she knew personally, and as soon as he realized she was there, he gave it up.

I will share a local (Key West) Pat story, as it was the result of my first report about her.

Soon after my first report about her, Pat picked up a tail one evening around bedtime. She figured my report was the reason. Her trade craft apparently is excellent. She spotted the tail pretty quick, regular car, no cop markings. She led it around Key West for two hours, having fun, made her feel almost like being a cop again. Sometimes the tail passed her and then turned around and came back, which tails don’t do, if they don’t want to be spotted. The tail followed on her bumper, tailgating, even after she slowed down, when any other vehicle would have passed her. She finally had enough and went into an area where there were lots of streets going different directions, and lost the tail.

Pat said she spotted lots of plainclothes cops on lover Duval Street New Year’s Eve. So many, she wondered if they had been brought down from the mainland?

I told Pat a Duval Street stripper told me all the clubs and bars on Duval Street are dens for drug trafficking, and that off-duty local cops who provide nighttime security in those places are trafficking drugs.

If I were Mayor Cates, I’d be salivating to meet Pat and try to persuade the city commissioners to pay her whatever she says is fair, to straighten out KWPD. I probably won’t be holding my breath on Cates doing that.

Sloan

P.S. Also in the crowd while I was talking with Pat was a retired NY City vice cop, who got onto me about making life hard for cops in what I was publishing, and to lay off, give them a break. I said, all they have to do to get me to shut up about them is obey the law and tell what they know. He said, they can’t do that, they would end up in prison.

1/7/2015

Super Cop seemed to really like what I had published about her yesterday, she especially liked me using this to identify her and distinguish her from KWPD.

protect and serve 2

And she agreed the lightning bolt gal pretty well matches how she was viewed where she was a deputy sheriff in Ohio.

From Higgs Beach, I pedaled my bicycle to the city commission meeting, where, first thing, I went into the men’s room to pee, and there was Mayor Craig Cates, washing his hands,

Mayor Cates

and we said hello, and he said I’d been laying low, I figured since the last time I was at a city commission meeting and told them their police murdered Charles Eimers because they thought he was living in his car, and city commissioners Mark Rossi and Tony Yaniz then did total meltdowns. I said, actually, I did miss one city commission meeting before Christmas, because it was on Monday intstead of on Tuesday. Craig said there had been more city commission meetings. Maybe so, I can’t say I like going to them, but if Craig’s been paying attention, he knows I ain’t been laying low.

Anyway, I’m skipping, for now, over the Historic Tours contract to bring cruise ship passengers in from the Outer Mole pier part of the commission meeting, to report what I recall saying during closing citizen comments, to prove to Mayor Cates just how low I really was laying.

I started off by stating my name and street address, which is required …

By the way, I was the only citizen there who participated in the recent police accountability protest march, and I was the only citizen there who spoke about the death of Charles Eimers, and I am the only citizen who ever did that in a city commission meeting, which tells me just how terribly upset people in Key West really are about their police murdering Charles Thanksgiving Day, 2013, on South Beach.

Anyway, I started the laying low, with 4-5 uniformed cops sitting in the audience, including the police chief, Donie Lee,

Donie Lee 2

by saying I had the terrific experience in the past few days of getting to meet a real cop, who is in Key West right now. A super cop, a retired deputy sheriff from Ohio, about whom I wrote a bit in this morning’s (yesterday’s) post at goodmorningkeywet.com.

About that moment, Tony Yanis jumps up out of his chair behind the dais and heads past me, as I tell him he should stick around, he needs to hear this, and he says no he doesn’t, and out the side doors he goes. Some chuckles from the audience.

I returned my attention to the remaining six elected city leaders, and said, Super Cop wants to consult the city, at a fair wage to her, on how to straighten out and run a real police force; she doesn’t want to be the police chief, she doesn’t want to replace anyone on the force; she just wants to help you straighten it out.

She lives in her home, which has 4 wheels under it, the only home she can afford, but she is illegal in Key West, although under the common law, a man’s home was his castle, and he could shoot and kill anyone who came into it without his permission. A palpable grey pallor fell over the dais.

lightning woman

I said, right after I wrote about Super Cop the first time, a few days ago, around bedtime she picked up a tail from an ummarked car, because of what I had written about her. She led the tail around Key West for two hours, until she got tired of playing with the tail, then she lost it in a town where she is not from.

I said, let me give you some other reasons why you should hire Super Cop to help you straighten out your police force.

We know from Officer Gary Lee Lovette’s taser video recorder, which was turned on, that he and the other cops were laughing as Charles Eimers died underneath them.

Pause.

They were laughing.

We know those officers perjured themselves 4 times.

They perjured their incident reports.

They perjured their reports to Florida Department of Law Enforcement. (FDLE)

They perjured themselves when they spoke to the grand jury.

And they perjured themselves in their depoistions in the federal lawsuit filed by the Eimers family against those cops and the city.

Those are felonies, yet those cops are still on the police force, they still are on duty, on the street.

This is serious.

The buzzer went off, my time was up.

I had wanted to tell them Naja Girard and Super Cop are going to get together, but perhaps it was better that I didn’t get to that, since Naja and Super Cop have not yet gotten together.

I had wanted to tell them Governor Scott had recently fired the head of FDLE, because he was not going after bad cops and bad prison wardens and bad prison guards, and that firing had tainted FDLE’s investigation of KWPD in the Charles Eimers case.

I had wanted to tell them FDLE’s lead investigator, Kathy Smith, ex-wife of KWPD Captain Scott Smith and mother of his child, was FDLE’s special investigator in the Eimers case, even though Scott was the supervisor of all of the officers involved in that case, all against FDLE rules; and later, thanks to the blue paper’s digging and reporting, Kathy was suspended by FDLE for having, with Scott, perjured a mortgage loan application on Kathy’s home, by representing they were still married, although they had been divorced for some time, all before the Charles Eimers investigation, and now Scott is no longer employed by KWPD.

Perhaps it was best I didn’t have time to go into all of that, either. For what I did go into pertained strictly to KWPD’s role in the Charles Eimers case, and it was strictly damning of KWPD, and of the city manager, who is Donie Lee’s boss, for doing nothing, and of the mayor and city commissioners, who are the city manager’s boss, for doing nothing.

FDLE did not kill Charles Eimers because FDLE thought he was a bum, living in his car, posing a dangerous threat to the health, safety and welfare of every person in Key West, and every tourist and the city’s lodging industry. That’s why KWPD killed Charles Eimers, and the city officials are backing KWPD all the way, as I again proved last night, while the few allegedly really upset Key West citizens were laying low. No darn wonder Mayor Cates and the six city commissioners think the Charles Eimers case is not important to Key West people! I’m the only person who tells it to their faces.

1/8/2015

City Commissioners Tony Yaniz and Mark Rossi

Tony YanizMark Rossi 2

both are way too sensitive and reactionary to defend KW cops, for there not to be something going on, which they don’t want seen in the light of day. A stripper told me young off duty KW cops providing security in Duval Street bars and strip clubs are trafficking street drugs to make extra money. Rossi owns such bars and clubs.

A couple of analogies kept coming to me today: the apple don’t fall far from tree, and the fish rots from the head down, and the tree and the fish head are the mayor and the city commissioners, and the apple and the fish tail are KWPD.

Meaning, complaining about KWPD is going after the wrong end of the problem. So far, I’m the only person I know who has and continues to take the mayor and city commissioners to task head on at city commission meetings, in plain view, with the city TV channel broadcasting it and the city’s video recorder making it available for later viewing.

I wrote this in a comment under the Palestine-Israel article in the current blue paper edition:

“Attending a few consecutive city commission meetings is plenty to convince anyone with reasonable intelligence, who has not been totally brainwashed in one of the many ways human beings are brainwashed, that something you can’t see sitting in the seven chairs behind the dais is actually running and orchestrating that little picture show, which is a proxy for a far bigger but still quite small picture show – humanity.”

The something people cannot see in those seven seats on the dais is visible to me because of my training and experience; it’s the same something we agreed has hold of the KWPD – a big demon: the fish rots from the head down, the apple don’t fall far from the tree.

Some of the vicious van dweller criminals asked me this afternoon if The Shadow is a real person, or did I make you up? I said all too real, I met him in 2000 on Higgs Beach. Well then, is the Shadow making up those stories you publish, which he sends to you? No, the stories he sends are true, but sometimes you and I see the stories a little differently.

I told them you are able to be somewhere and nobody sees you, even though you are in plain view; it’s like you are cloaked, but you are not. They asked, does he wear disguises? No, he wears no disguises, people just do not notice him, perhaps when he does not want to be noticed, I told them. We’re getting kinda close to Obi wan Kenobe here, except I never saw your light saber, nor you controlling people’s minds.

However, it appears Super Cop has that ability. She can go into a mood, her eyes change, oh do they change,

lightning woman

and that’s when people start doing different. I saw a demonstration today on Higgs Beach with a loud, drunk, homeless man, who was making a horse’s ass out of himself, and she gave him “the look” from 50 feet, and he saw it, and soon he was making tracks. She’d already had a run with him before I got to know her, and after that he didn’t want to have anything to do with her after she turned her attention on him.

She told me a hilarious story of how she mind-fucked a second unmarked car tail just last night, but she asked me not to tell the details just yet. I told her people are starting to look forward to the next Super Cop adventure, and I could tell from the questions about you this afternoon that people are looking for the next report on The Shadow, too. I think they figure you picked up some kind of ju ju when you were fighting in Vietnam. Or you were CIA. Perhaps I should syndicate a comic strip, “The Adventures of Super Cop and The Shadow.”

They said I don’t have to worry about being bumped off, making me a martyr is the very last thing they want to do, they would never hear the end of it. I said the conspiracy theories would run wild. Yep, they would. Perhaps the comic strip could be named, “The Adventures of Super Cop, The Shadow and The Flash,” to give Jack London his due.

1/11/2105

The Horan firm, and the hotshot mainland trial lawyers they associated in the Eimers case, seem capable and motivated. However, they do not threaten prison time, but their hard work might help the US Department of Justice take the case down that road, if it decides to get involved. I’m still waiting on the US Magistrate’s determination of whether or not the defendant city cops committed perjury in their depositions, which, based on what I have seen in blue paper articles, it appears they certainly did. The US Attorney prosecuted Jim Hendrick for conspiracy and witness tampering, even though the statute of limitations had run on the facilitating a bribe of a county commissioner allegations. No statute of limitations seem to have run in the Eimers case, yet. I hope DOJ, or US Attorney, does not dally. I am not holding my breath on Florida Department of Law Enforcement and/or State Attorney Catherine Vogel getting right with God in the Eimers case; nor KWPD Police Chief Donie Lee and Internal Affairs, nor Mayor Cates and the six city commissioners. If the Eimers case turns out to be Key West’s Chernobyl, that might make the 2016 mayor’s race a hell of a lot more interesting, and perhaps the 2015 city commission races, depending on the Eimers case timeline.

Sloan

I bicycled over to Higgs Beach yesterday evening,

Higgs Beach small pier

hoping to find Super Cop there and talk with her about Eimers case stuff rummaging in my mind, and watch what was looking like would be another beautiful sunset. Super Cop was there, and we sat down in our folding chairs and had a kinda pow wow, which went sort like …

protect and serve 2

I said I’d told someone on Facebook earlier in the day that I’ve been looking at something bothersome, which is Naja and Arnaud Girard,

Arnaud GirardNaja

co-publishers of Key West the Newspaper (thebluepaper.com), and other people seem to have taken the position that tasers should be gotten rid of entirely. Super Cop said, and leave cops with only guns to shoot people with. Precisely, I said.

I said, in one taser case, the Girards and other people got all worked up over over, it is not clear whether the cop was in front of the man he tasered, or behind him, and it is not clear if the cop gave a warning that the taser would be used, or did not give a warning. That’s what the Citizen Police Review Board is trying to determine. However, what the Girards and others tried to do, was make tasering the cause of the man being paralyzed in a hospital, with a brain injury, a virtual vegetable, perhaps for the rest of his life. Yet there was no way that cop could have known or anticipated when he fired the taser, that the man would fall head first onto the sidewalk and end up with that brain injury. Super Cop agreed, there was no way the cop could be blamed for that injury, because it could not be anticipated.

I said, so that brings me to the Charles Eimers case, which the blue paper broke, and but for the blue paper, we would not know about the case.

I said, the Girards and others have argued a taser was used on Eimers. Or a stun gun, which is different from a taser. Yes, Super Cop said, a taser fires darts, a stun gun is put against a person and is fired. I said, whatever Officer Gary Lee Lovette had, it had a video recorder … which came on when the gun was drawn, Super Cop said. Yes, I said, and the device was left on for a good while after the incident, and it recorded the cops were laughing when they killed Eimers, and it recorded later statements by Lovette, who seemed to have forgotten, or never thought, the device was recording what he was saying.

Super Cop said, if the device was on, then its video recorder would have shown the gun being used on Eimers. I said, I did not think the video showed the gun being used on Eimers, and I saw nothing in the two bystanders’ videos of the incident showing a taser or stun gun was used on him. And Lovette later said he did not use it, because he was afraid of hitting a fellow officer with it. That would make sense, Super Cop said.

I said, one of the blue paper readers, who goes by the anonymous name, Sister, has pushed really hard for Eimers being tasered, and that is what killed him. I said Sister got really really upset with me after I kept saying the taser argument was a diversion, a taser was not what killed Eimers, and if that argument was used by the plaintiff lawyers, they would lose the case in federal court.

I said, Sister is under demonic influence, and the demon wants the jury to believe Eimers was tasered, because that will cause the jury to conclude the electric shock stopped Eimers’ bad heart, which all evidence says was ready to go out at any time, even in his sleep. Super Cop said, Eimers was not wearing a sign saying he had a bad heart. Right, I said, and if a cop tasered Eimers, or used a stun gun on him, there was no way the cop could know that would stop Eimers’s heart. Super Cop agreed. And the jury would let the cops walk, I said. Super Cop agreed. I said, I wouldn’t blame the jury for letting the cops walk, if they believed a taser or stun gun stopped Eimers about to go out at any time heart. Super Cop agreed.

I said, if I were the plaintiff lawyer trying the case, I would make darn sure I got out of Gary Lee Lovette on the witness stand, that he did not use his taser, or stun gun, on Charles Eimers, and neither did any other cop, because I want the jury to know for a fact that no taser, or stun gun was used, because I don’t want them thinking a taser or stun gun is what stopped Eimers ready to go out at any moment heart. Super Cop agreed.

I said, Lovette is the only cop who basically told the truth, but most of what he said was so horrible, that it was twisted by Police Chief Donie Lee and the Grand Jury into boasting, made up, and Lovette told the Grand Jury he had boasted, made it up. And for boasting, making it up, he was suspended for 5 days by Chief Lee. Super Cop smiled wanly.

She asked if Eimers struggled when the cops were on him? If not, and he just quietly died under them, that would indicate his bad heart failed, and they did not kill him. I said, in the bystander’s videos, Eimers walked from his car and, when ordered to do so, he raise his hands and kneeled on the beach and put his hands out in front of him, and then he lay down. The cops then approached him and got down on him, holding him, pinning his shoulders to the ground, one cop, Lovette, had a knee on Eimers back. Eimers started struggling pretty good, a cop raised up Eimers’ right leg in the hobble position, as Eimers kept struggling. Lovette said he came down on Eimers like a fucking bomb, elbowed him in the back of the head.

Super Cop said, all of that would force Eimers face into the sand and he couldn’t breathe. Yeah, I said, and then he started struggling, and they hobbled him and he struggled more, and then he stopped struggling, because he was dead. Smothered. Super Cop nodded.

I did not think to tell Super Cop, after the cops realized Eimers wasn’t moving and something was wrong, they rolled him over, and the 2 bystander’s video showed his eyes closed and sand all over his face. In their perjured depositions, the cops said there was no sand on Eimers face, and he had tried to get up, or they had tried to sit him up, to stand him up, but the 2nd bystander’s video shows that did not happen; Eimers succumbed lying facedown under them.

I told Super Cop, the demon running the cops and the taser theory, also is running the mayor and the city commissioners, the city manager and then city attorney.

Super Cop said she and Naja Girard were playing telephone tag, and she would keep trying to reach Naja. It did not occur to me last night that Super Cop might make a terrific expert witness for the plaintiffs; a real cop, a super cop, who would tell the jury how she saw it, based on the evidence in the case.

When I asked Super Cop if she would now let me report the fun time she’d had with the second unmarked cop tail, which I mentioned in a post the other day, but did not go into?, she said, yeah, she was okay with me reporting it. I said, oh goody, because she really fucked with those two cops’ minds.. She did it so good, that I think I also will start calling her Cop Psychiatrist; she shrunk their minds and their balls down to nothing. Super Cop said, yep, she doesn’t like bad cops.

I asked her to retell the story, so I was sure I understood it.

She said she left Higgs Beach the night of the full moon, and headed up Atlantic Blvd and on out to Smathers Beach, and out past the airport to House Boat row, to park and watch the full moon come up.

En route, she spotted the tail behind her, an unmarked car following about 6 car lengths back. She pulled over the the side of the road to watch the moonrise, and the tail pulled off to the side of the road about six car lengths back, with its lights still on, disturbing not only her view of the moonrise, but other people out there’s view.

Super Cop said she whipped a U-turn and headed back the other way on South Roosevelt Blvd, like she was going back the way she had come. The tail started to move, then stopped, as if it was trying to decide what to do, as Super Cop whipped another U-turn right in behind them, with her lights on them now.

The tail took off,, headed toward Flagler Avenue, with Super Cop right on their bumper. The light turned red at Flagler before they got there, so the tail stopped at the light, in the left lane, with Super Cop right behind. When the light changed to green, the tail turned left and took off down Flagler, and Super Cop went straight and the fun ended.

I told Super Cop that I’d made a mistake reporting that she was from Ohio, because that fingered her van, which bears Ohio license places. She said, maybe so. But then, maybe not, because if I had not fingered her van bearing Ohio plates, the local cops would not know which van was hers; they might roust the wrong woman, in the wrong van, and scare her to death. Better, actually, I had reported she is from Ohio, therefore.

Super Cop chuckled over my calling her and other people who live in their vans, vicious van dweller criminals. VVDC, Super Cop said. Yeah, sounds like a disease, I said. The mayor and city commissioners changed their ordinance to make you VVDC, because, they proclaimed, VVCDs posed a dangerous threat to the safety, health and welfare of Key West residents, tourists and the lodging industry. Yeah, VVDCs are a real threat to the lodging industry, Super Cop chuckled.

A fellow named Victor had walked up as Super Cop started telling me again about how she had dealt with the tail. Victor said he just got back the day before from Anchorage Alaska, and he’s been reading my ramblings at goodmorningkeywest.com every day, and is amazed I haven’t been killed yet. He sends my ramblings to other friends, who use the Internet.

Victor said, he’s traveled and lived in his van, his only home, for many years. He’s traveled 49 of the states in America, and a great deal of Canada, and all over Florida, and Key West is the only city where he’s been, which gives people who live in their vans a hard time; everywhere else he’s been, people are easy with it. Super Cop said, she had not traveled that widely, but she had not had trouble elsewhere living in her van, her only home; only in Key West is she harassed.

Another VVCD asked if Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent Kathy Smith was going to prison for her role in FDLE’s bogus investigation of the Eimers case? I said I didn’t know, but Smith and FDLE, and State Attorney Catherine Vogel, are diversions. The case is KWPD. Without KWPD, there would be no Eimers case, and FDLE and Vogel never would have been involved. They are but ornaments, KWPD is the tree. KWPD is where the focus in Key West needs to be, and to remain.

Another VDDC said, Eimers left the scene of the traffic stop on North Roosevelt Blvd, and what happened after that was predictable. I said, Eimers didn’t leave the scene; the cop said he wasn’t going to return Eimer’s drivers license, and that freaked Eimers out and he thought the cop was done with him and he drove away, and the cop then called it in and the so-called chase started.

I said, Key West police have a practice of not returning drivers licences to people who live in their vehicles, or bending and cracking the licenses, so the next cop who deals with them will know they are living in their vehicle. This practice is known to the people running the driver’s license office on South Roosevelt. Really? Yeah, really. That cop set Eimers up, because he believed Eimers was homeless. The rest followed. The cops who came in as back up were told Eimers was living in his vehicle. They rushed to the rumble. They turned off their cruiser video recorders, because they knew they were going to a rumble and didn’t want it recorded. But for the two bystanders’ videos and Lovette’s taser, or stun gun, video, the cops would have gotten clean away with it.

A VVDC asked how I thought the federal lawsuit would go? I said I have no clue; I was taught in law school, and learned during my law practice, not to predict what judges and juries will do; it was a great way to get sued for malpractice, if I told a client he/she would win a lawsuit and it didn’t turn out the way I had predicted. I told clients how I would decide their case, if I were the judge or jury, but I made sure they understood I was neither the judge nor the jury.

The demon running the Eimers case is using it as an entry to gain a lot more control over Key West. Demonic possession usually starts like cancer, in one area, then it spreads to other areas. The farther the cancer progresses, the more difficult it is to turn the tide back the other way. Demons are very clever. This one is super wiley, and it has snookered all seven elected city officials, the city manager and the city attorney.

A demon’s target seldom knows what’s underway, absent a straight up willing deal made with the demon, which sometimes happens, and is what Adolph Hitler did, and his henchmen followed suit, as explained all too well in the Spear of Destiny, by Trevor Ravenscroft, a real Grail Knight, which is nothing like the various romantic tales of Grail seekers and champions. Nothing like that at all.

When Super Cop said yesterday afternoon that she is a Buckeye fan, I said Ohio State has my respect, it had been a long time since I saw a team beat up Alabama; I’d seen Alabama get beat, but not beat up, and Ohio State beat up Alabama New Year’s Day. Super Cop said where she will watch the Buckeyes go duck hunting Monday night, the Oregon Ducks. I said I think I will join her there, instead of go to Jack Flats to watch it; I am very interested in that game, and I love watching good college football teams go at it, I like that much better than pro football games.

The Eimers case is a pro football game. The stakes are huge. One of the VVDCs asked me yesterday afternoon, if I was going to write about demonic possession today? That’s Sunday, the person said. Why not?, I answered. Sunday is the best day of all to talk about demons. Sunday is when lots of people go to church to be righteous, but they don’t admit and apologize in church for bad things they did the week before.

Wouldn’t surprise me if every cop involved in the Eimers case claim Jesus saved him/her. Wouldn’t surprise me all seven elected city officials and the city manager and the city manager claim Jesus saved them, too. You should see them bow their heads when a Christian minister makes the invocation at city commission meetings, and ends the prayer with, “In Jesus’ name”. You should see them assent to that prayer, which I do not believe is legal under US Supreme Court rulings, because it favors a specific religion in violation of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

If those city officials were truly saved by Jesus, they would behave very differently about the Charles Eimers case. Same for the cops involved in that case.

The Australian novelist Ann Massey wrote the day before yesterday, 1/13/2015:

Hi Sloan,

Do you intend writing another novel based on the Eimer’s case? It would lend itself to a satire & could incorporate all your fabulous illustrations. Just a thought!

Ann

I replied:

I wonder if the muses are inclined, they will let me wax on demonic possession, which I broached in the latest Super Cop report? That was not metaphor, it was what is happening in Key West’s police department and in its city officials.

Ann wrote yesterday morning, Key West time:

Start writing!

I replied last night, before the Ohio State duck hunt:

Daffy Duck

Aye, Aye, Great White Amah :-).

After sending my last email to you, I thought, hmmm, what I’m writing about the Eimers case and Super Cop has to be viewed as fiction in certain quarters in this here state mental; such as the KWPD quarter, and the city hall quarter, and, I suppose, in 90 percent of the rest of the inmate population, so in that sense the novel is well underway :-).

I also found myself thinking, to myself of course, don’t want any of the head shrink doctors down here thinking I think I’m actually talking to angels in my thoughts, that it is a bit distressing to be watching people I know in this joint, some pretty well, succumbing more and more into the demon’s camp, all the while thinking they are doing the Lord’s work. I wrote to our psychiatrist emeritus Jerry Weinstock earlier today, that religion is mental illness, but that was being too politically correct; religion actually is demonic possession.

Anyway, that came up tonight on Higgs Beach, after Super Cop moved her folding chair farther out onto the beach to watch the sunset, as another VVDC (vicious van dweller criminal) said he simply cannot understand why it took 10 cops to apprehend Charles Eimers. I said, well, they all thought he was homeless, that is, living in his vehicle, and that made him open game, and they came to South Beach to rumble him, it’s that simple. The fellow said the same thing again, as if I had not already answered his question, which really I had not. So this time I said, okay, I will answer your question for real. When something happens, which makes no sense, and the people involved are making no sense, then there is only one possible reason. Demonic possession. Yeah, that’s not what you wanted to hear, but that’s the answer to your question. Well, yes, that is not what he wanted to hear, he said, and I said, well, this is my line of work, and I’ve been at it a long time, and I gave you the correct answer to your question.

Now, just to liven this up a bit, before he came along, I had spotted a man o’ war bird, also known as a frigate bird,

man o' war bird

soaring a bit off the beach, which I had pointed out to Super Cop and said I don’t see many of those birds on this beach. Fisherman view them as a good omen, because they hover over schooling fish, but I view frigate birds as a sign I’m headed into spiritual warfare. It is a given that I am headed there, or will be spiritually attacked, when I see a frigate bird, and even before I saw it, I was feeling spiritual warfare heading my way, in some of my organs and my cerebral spinal fluid. How long before, Super Cop asked? About 3 hours ago, I said, as the man o’ war bird soared almost right over us, which caused Super Cop to say, as if it knew we were talking about it, and I said, yep, the angels sent it right over us because I was telling you about frigate birds and me.

I said Native Americans long have observed animals and used them as signs, and when I see an eagle, that means something big is headed my way, as does a big electrical storm. Lions and wolves are big sign animals for me, too, but I don’t see many of those down here. No, I don’t suppose you do, Super Cop said. I said I’d had a dream in a nap earlier today, which indicates spiritual warfare. All of my dreams are about something I’m presently doing, or will be doing soon. I wake up from a dream, don’t know what it’s about, then I go online and there’s an email and I know that’s what the dream was about, or I get up in the morning and see an article in the newspaper, and I know that’s what the dream is about. Super Cop said she’s seeing that in Heavy Wait, Riley and Willa Sue are dreaming like that. Yes, and you see that, I said, but some people read that book and they don’t see it; they don’t see anything. Super Cop said her mother had been a medium. I said, oh, that explains a lot!

Before that, Super Cop had told me of the most recent attempt by the local cops to harass her. She pulled out of the little Australian pine park by the airport evening before last, and right away there was a pickup truck on her tail, and she drove a little ways up South Roosevelt Blvd and whipped into a handicap parking space, she has a handicap sticker on her van, that was the first of the parking spaces, so the tail could not legally pull up and park right behind her, and the tail went past her and it turned off and parked a few parking spaces up the way. Super Cop got out of her van and started moving toward the pickup, and it took off. She’s having a hell of a time making a traffic stop on these unmarked tails :-).

protect and serve 2

Anyway, Super Cop said she’d thought through the Eimers case, including him leaving the traffic stop, which for sure would draw other cops into the situation, and the one thing that simply does not play is they had Eimers face down on sand, and anybody knows a person cannot breath sand, it is just chopped up small broken pieces of glass, and one good breath of it will mess up the lungs and stop the breathing, about the same as being face down in water, and they were on top of him, holding his shoulders down, he was face down, and they lifted up one of his legs and hobbled him, forcing his face even more down, and he couldn’t breathe, and that’s why he struggled until he died. All the rest before that had nothing to do with how they killed him.

Super Cop said one of her VVDW (vicious fan dweller friends) told her to tell me that Police Chief Donnie Lee should put all of his police officers on a lie detector once a year, and ask them just one question: “Have you ever falsified a report?” I said that would be a terrific thing for Lee to do, and I can’t imagine he would do it.

Then Super Cop headed farther out onto the beach to watch another beautiful sunset in frozen Key West, it was 77 degrees on her I-pad device.

Buckey duck hunt

Super Cop was darn happy by the end of the duck hunt last night, after some seriously gut-wrenching moments for Buckeye fans occasioned by Ohio State turning the ball over 4 times and leaving Oregon’s ducks in the game, instead of blown out the end of the stadium. The most interesting part of the game, for me, anyway, came at halftime, when Super Cop said the Ohio State and Oregon bands had practiced really hard for that halftime performance, and instead of their routines being nationally televised, we were sitting there listening to three talking men heads summarize the first half of the game and prognosticate the second half.

We watched the game at Shanna Key, a popular Irish Pub about a 2-minute bicycle ride from where I live. I ordered corn beef and cabbage and red potatoes, and Super Cop followed suit. The corn beef and cabbage and potatoes were cooked separately, instead of together. The cabbage tasted like cardboard, no taste of cabbage whatsoever. I wished I had ordered something else, and kept asking the waitress to send out the owner so he could try some of his cardboard cabbage, but he never came. Other than that, it was a great time watching Ohio State and Oregon go at it, and watching and listening to Super Cop writhe and groan and cheer, and tell Buckeye fans stories.
