The great culture vulture dropped something on me via Nick Anderson of rural Key West (Big Coppit Key),
which had previously been suggested by a reader who lives in New Jersey presently, but has lived in and spent a good bit of time in Key West.

Which led to:

Briefly, I was born into a socially, financially prominent Birmingham, Alabama family, was raised in the Baptist, then in the Episcopal Church, attended Vanderbilt University, B.A. Economics, then the University of Alabama School of Law, J.D. and later LLM (Taxation), and worked in the family business, Golden Flake Snack Foods, which competed head-on with Frito-Lay, then practiced law, then gave up on being “normal” and headed to Santa Fe, and that ended up being no answer, and then I was apprehended and captured by angels and sent to Boulder, and that ended up being no answer, and that and the rest of it is told off and on at goodmorningkeywest.com, along with other things, nearly always contrary to mainstream thought, beliefs, ways, etc., spiritually, politically, socially, etc.
Along the way, I ran out of money, became homeless for a few years in Key West and elsewhere; then my father died and I received an inheritance which carrried me and another person I was given to look after, and other people were helped with smaller “donations”, and the awful internal and external work I was doing was funded, and I took a beating on a piece of beautiful land 30 miles up US 1 from Key West, where Mother Nature was in charge (that land), but hardly is she in charge of Key West. Finally, I had to sell the land and take the beating to keep living and taking care of the other person, who is like an adopted daughter to me, and is seriously spiritually-gifted and also nearly uneducated, raised in north Georgia.
$50,000 might take care of her and me for a year, if we are frugal. She is unable to work for pay, the spirit load she’s under in her shaman training and soul healing and remaking is all she can manage. Her dreams, visions and other spirit senses back up what I do, I rely heavily on her in that way, she is like a business partner, but not in the mainstream sense.
Much the same for me. A 24 hour, 365 day a year job. Impossible to imagine, much less understand, if not experienced. The 180-degree opposite of mainstream thinking and doing.
The best way to get a feel for what I do is follow my daily musings, also called ravings, rumblings, howlings, depending on reader point of view, phases of the moon, personal moods, behavior of people over who I and nobody else has any control, at goodmorningkeywest.com. I swiped the name from one of my favorite movies, “Good Morning Vietnam”, and was amazed to learn nobody else had yet claimed it as a domain name – it must have been meant to be.
Key West is a wild place, an international city, a microcosm for humanity in many ways, and – yikes! – is one of several places designated by “the powers that be” as a proxy for the invasive species on this planet, also known as Earthlings, whose fate on this planet is being determined by those proxies.
Key West was selected a proxy not only because it is wide open and an international city, but also because it has more bars and churches per capita than any other city (or so is alleged), and because it claims its official philosophy is “We are all created equal members of One Human Family”, which is propaganda, of course, and because it sits on the base of an earth energy vortex comparable to the Himalaya, Andes and Sangre de Cristo (northern New Mexico and southern Colorado) vortexes. You’d think Key West might be a New Age mecca like Santa Fe and Boulder, but it ain’t.
The New Age people in Santa Fe and Boulder thought I was weird. The people in Key West, where the weird go pro, also think I’m weird. But then, that’s what angels do to people they decide to mess with. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Oh, age 72, I receive $745 a month in Social Security retirement, $17 a month in food stamps, and one person donates $10 a month. I have $380 in fixed monthly expenses, $300 rent for a small room in a friend’s home, $50 cell phone, $20 Wi-Fi, $10 online subscription to Key West’s main daily newspaper. The phone, Wi-Fi, and online subscription are needed for what I publish at goodmorningkeywest.com, which is different – no prisoners, not even me, sums it up pretty well.
Oh, my sexual orientation. Seven wives, 3 children by first wife, 2 still living. Still hoping to get a PhD in women’s studies, but for past 10 years a monk, except for an afternooner in 2011 with a biker chick, who picked me up – I’d long fantacised being picked up by a biker chick and riding on her bitch seat and holding onto her boobs, and then going somewhere and finishing the fantasy.
She later wrote to a popular local blog run by a friend of mine that Sloan’s angels had healed her afterward. Caused quite a stir on that blog, where there were lots of people who had me confused with the devil. One reader wrote in, that after reading someone had sex with Sloan, she felt like she was going to throw up. If she had lived in my skin 5 minutes, maybe less, she really would have thrown up, and then she would have gone crazy, and then, if she was lucky, she would have died, because she had not been prepared and trained to deal with what I eat ongoing.
