I had this thought. Depositions are of course expensive. Why not a series of written q & a. Should be in Jeremy’s interest. Could be followed thru with a deposition if necessary but the q & a should limit the length

Let’s start off with this. Two of his more serious allegations relate to a clearly implied sexual relationship between Marshall Downs and Rev Jemly followed by a similar relationship between Downs and Rev Colin.

So first to Jeremy:
One. Do you allege such a relationship between Downs and Jemly? If so describe how many sexual encounters you allege. When and where did each occur? Did you personally witness any? If so describe each incident you witnessed. If you did not witness any what is your basis for asserting they happened? Describe any statements made by others re any acts between Downs and Jemly. Identify your source(s).

Now very same questions re Rev Colin and Marshall.

I wrote to Tim yesterday evening:

I printed out your email and gave it to Jeremy Jerome at the soup kitchen today, after asking him if he could read okay without glasses; he said he could read it. I said this was what one of my readers had sent to me, who used to be a lawyer and attends Glad Tidings. Jeremy struggled with it a while, said he was having trouble, or couldn’t understand what you wrote. So, I said, okay, let me ask it my way. How do you know Tim Jemly, took me a while to get the spelling of his last name right, had sex with Marshall, how did that come about? Jeremy said he saw it himself, Jemly sucking Marshall off, in the Seventh Day Adventists church. Tim and Marshall didn’t know he was watching. And afterward, he talked with Marshall about it, and then he said something to Tim. I’m leaving out some of the details. That’s how I would have asked the question at a deposition. Then, I would have asked more questions, which I asked today. It kept expanding. Alas, I hate getting Marshall involved. It’s Jemly Jeremy says had sex with a minor boy, in the church.

Tim replied:

This is of course a very serious accusation. I have the following proposal. Jeremy should make his change to the KWPD. Then if the authorities determine it to be false he will face potential criminal charges himself.

P.S. Of course he can say what be wants thru you since he is judgment proof. That is why I want him to tell KWPD so he faces jail time. I suggest that may be why he did not go to KWPD immediately

If JJ does go to KWPD and swears to what he told you one of two things should result: either Jemly is arrested for child abuse or Jeremy is arrested for false swearing. Is he prepared to put his liberty at stake? If not, why not?

I wrote to Tim this morning:

Tim, the accusation has been made all along in my reporting of what Jeremy has been telling me, but the details were not published.

KWPD is probably the last place I would tell Jeremy to go with what he says he knows is going on in Seventh Day Adventists and other Key West churches - he says the these are not catholic churches, but are other denominations.

Why would I not tell Jeremy to go to KWPD?

Well, should I start with the Charles Eimers case, in which KWPD Gary Lee Lovette officer was caught on his own taser recorder as saying something to the effect that, “We killed him, we murdered him,” and KWPD Police Chief Donnie Lee and Internal Affairs ruled Loevtte was lying when he said that, and instead of firing him and arresting Lovette and putting him in jail and asking State Attorney Catherine Vogel to prosecute him, they suspended Lovette for 5 days, for boasting and embellishing what actually happened, and the city manager let that stand, and the mayor and city commissioners let it stand.

How about KWPD officers attend churches Jeremy is accusing.

How about Jeremy says a sheriff deputy attended one of the churches he called out, Fifth Street Baptist in Key West, and that deputy and church went to the ends of the earth to have Jeremy put away and shut up, including changing his name to Timothy Vanhorn, who is someone else Jeremy says he does not know, but on the Sheriff and Clerk of Court websites, that’s whose name is used and Jeremy Jerome is an alias. Here’s a mugshot from the Sheriff’s website, which is Jeremy’s photo. His hair is a shorter now; he looks more worn, more tired.

How about some of the churches are in the county, where KWPD has no jurisdiction.

How about, I hate to say this, KWPD’s police chief Donie Lee is gay, and the charge Jeremy is making is ongoing pedophelia, mostly grown men on boys. Maybe Donie has an emotional, if not an actual, conflict of interest.

Perhaps it will easy your worry for me to report Jeremy told me yesterday at the soup kitchen that, this past Friday, the day before yesterday, the State Attorney Office called Jeremy’s lawyer about getting his file on Jeremy, which has to do with allegations Jeremy is making against two of the Key West area churches, but not the Seventh Day Adventists church. Jeremy said he went by his lawyers’ office and got the file and took it to the State Attorney Office and met with the State Attorney lawyer who had called his lawyer, whom he said was an older woman, not the Assistant State Attorney Colleen Dunne he already had had dealings with. I asked Jeremy if the woman State Attorney was about 55 or 60? Jerry nodded, yes. Was her name Catherine Vogel? Jeremy nodded, yes.

Jeremy said the woman State Attorney said they were not going to do anything about Tim Jemly, since he now is living up near Jacksonville, but they are going to keep an eye on him, and if comes out he does up there what Jeremy said happened down here, they will know what Jeremy said Jemly did down here happened, and they will go get Jemly and bring him back here and prosecute him. Meanwhile, they are looking at Jeremy’s allegations against the two churches in the lawyer’s file.

Apology, I spaced out asking Jeremy yesterday about the minister who replaced Tim Jemly at Seventh Day Adventists church, which you also had requested that I do. I will try to remember to ask Jeremy about that next time I see him.

After leaving the soup kitchen yesterday, I visited for a good while with Arnaud and Naja Girard in their home, about Jeremy’s allegations. I will sit on how that went, for now, other than I will say Naja and Arnaud encouraged me to continue my efforts, which they cannot do in Key West the Newpsaper, because they need live eye witnesses beyond just Jeremy, and they cannot report as I do, based on what angels tell me. I agreed, told them the time was not ripe for them to get involved in this, if they ever get involved. They agreed with me: given the extent pedophilia was in Catholic churches, and the long ordeal it was to get the Roman Catholic Church to admit it, and then deal with it, it has to be doing on in non-Catholic churches, and the resistance to dealing with it will be stiff. They suggested I watch the movie “Doubt”, about a woman who kept going with her intuition that a priest was a pedophile, and finally she prevailed, and the toll that took on various other people and on her. It’s taking a toll on me, and on other people, what I am reporting about this awful subject. But the alternative is doing nothing, and children keep getting molested in churches.

It’s happening everywhere in America, Tim. I just happen to be in Key West, where Jeremy Jerome lives, which hardly is a coincidence. Maybe by the time this is all over, you will have a very different view of child sex trafficking than you have right now, and where it is most prevalent in America: in families and churches. Maybe that will cause you and Keys Coalition to refocus your efforts away from what is going on in mainland USA and overseas, to what is going on in Florida Keys homes and churches.

Oh, I did think to ask Jeremy if he, in fact, did help build Glad Tidings church? Yes, he said. Physically built it, I asked, bricks and mortar, as opposed to building up a congregation? Yes, physically built it, Jeremy said. The house which now is the church offices was there, next to the Dairy Queen, but the land next door to that house, where the church now is, was vacant, Jeremy said. He and others built that church, he said.

An Open Letter to Hillary Clinton

Hi, Hillary. You know me. I mean, we’re not friends, exactly, but we’re acquaintances. You were wonderful to me back in 1994 when you invited me to the White House. It’s a memory I will treasure always, and you gave it to me. I thank you.

Now, about your presidential run — if indeed you make it. I’m writing you this letter because I think the topic might figure into your decision-making, or maybe not.

I admit that in 2008 I went with Obama, feeling at the time that he was carrying the real spirit of things, yada, yada, yada. Yeah, well. Anyway.

That was then and this is now.

I want a woman president — really, I do. A lot of us do. And yes, you’re so qualified, and yes, we’ve known you forever, and yes, you’d know what to do from Day 1. We all get that.

But none of that is enough to get my vote, or the vote of a lot of people I know. We only want to vote for you if you run like hell away from that corporate box you’ve landed in. I’m telling you, Hillary. The American people have become hip to what’s happening. We know now that Wall Street runs the country, and we don’t like it. And for many of us, we don’t want to vote for you if Wall Street runs you too.

There are the seeds of political revolution in the air — a rebelliousness, a rambunctiousness — that America has been sorely missing. It’s faint, at least on the left, but it is there. As a matter of fact, as tragic as it is for a lifelong Democrat to have to admit this, the one place where we have been seeing it manifest recently is on the political right. The Tea Party, sans a codependent relationship with the Republican Party, is causing a real problem for establishment Republicans. And once progressives break free of their codependent relationship with the corporate Democrats, you’re going to have a real problem on your hands too.

That’s why I’m writing. I have a feeling you’re getting most of your advice from people who think that everything I’m saying here is nonsense. So I’ll say it as loudly as I can.

STOP NOW. Stop cozying up to the banks, to the chemical companies, to the military-industrial complex, to the party machine, and to all the various financiers who make up the plutocracy now ruining this country. Yeah, I know a lot of them are nice people and that’s cool. But they should not be able to turn the elected representatives of the American people into mere inconveniences they can buy off election after election. And if we have a sense that you’d be just another puppet of the elite, then I don’t believe that you will win. We were fooled once, but I don’t think we’re going to be fooled again.

In the final analysis, we really do love democracy — and watching it dismantled as it’s being dismantled, and corrupted like it’s being corrupted, has taken a lot of us from denial to real depression to a collective “Hell, no!” that will have electoral consequences in 2016.

Years ago, George Lakoff compared Republicans to a critical father and Democrats to a nurturing mother. I pointed out a bit later that the critical father had become an abusive one — but that as anyone with any psychotherapeutic understanding knows, the child will ultimately put a lot of his or her blame on the mother who stood by and allowed the abuse to happen! That’s the Democratic Party machine today, Hillary. Please don’t be one of them.

I know you know exactly what I’m saying, because I remember you — a lot of us remember you — when you were raging against the Establishment machine on top of which you’re now so sweetly perched. That machine is not our salvation; it’s our problem. Corporate Democrats might have gained some power for the party, but at the cost of its soul.

I’d love to clamor for you, to work for you, to cheer you on. I don’t want to sit on the sidelines longing for Elizabeth or Bernie. I want to hear what’s true from you. I want you to rail against the chemical companies and their GMO’s — not support them. I want you to decry the military industrial complex — not assure them you’re their girl. I want you to support reinstating Glass-Steagall — not just wink at Wall Street while sipping its champagne. In short, I want you to name the real problems so we can trust you’d provide some real solutions.

But maybe that’s just me wanting you to change, to be someone different than who you are. If that’s true, please forgive my presumption and ignore this letter. But if anything I’m saying rings any kind of true at all, then I hope you’ll start saying so.

And quickly please, Hillary. People are starting to despair.
