brain transplant

Kali, the brain surgeon

From rainforest yesterday:

Sloan,

Wishing you well over the next few days while you see to the brain transplant. Looking forward to Kali posts.

Loved todays post, particularly this paragraph;
“Your city’s homeless people are what Carl Jung would have called your city’s shadow. You can no more eliminate them than you can stand in front of a mirror and eliminate your own reflection … unless you concede you are them and they are you. One Human Family, in your touchy-feely-warm-fuzzy politically correct lingo.”

Perfect!! Thanks

Hi there, whoever you are. Thanks. Hope the brain transplant helps me. The last dolphin brain I was given finally wore out from trying to cope with the terminal habits of the remnants of my human brain.

Antonio de Nicolas said when we talked yesterday that the part of the brain most people use makes up only 5 percent of the brain. He said his wife works in that field, has gained acclaim. I frequently have compared the part of the brain humans use to the tip of an iceberg, and the rest is below the waterline. The part above the waterline thinks it’s running the show, while the other part knows better. Antonio laughed in agreement when I said humans have made 5 percent of their brains into God.
I hear dolphins use a great deal more than 5 percent of their brains. I was told many years ago that dolphins and whales are sentient, but in a different way from humans. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt too much for all humans to have a dolphin brain transplant and start using more of their brains, especially more of the right side, which is what the angels really opened up in me early on, and still seem to be opening up. The female side. The dreaming side. The receptive side. The creative side.
Received this email from Antonio just a bit ago:
Dear Sloan.
It was a real treat talking to you on the phone and laughing all the way. As I said I will get some people to get in touch with you and will notify you who and when, Our home page with articles etc. is www.biocultural.org you will find lots of reading material and some meditations. We are today in Jacksonville teaching.
Best,
Antonio
Will be grazing through that website this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Kali got pretty wound up in today’s accomplishments – the Coconut Telelgraph post. After it went up, I took a siesta and got clobbered in dreams for not also publishing today that the angels told me in nap dreams yesterday morning that Dennis Reeves Cooper was framed re his DUI arrest. That angels news would have melded well with Kali’s retort to the CT poster who told me to lay off the angel escapism. S-l-o-w-n me, I didn’t connect the dots and figured I would write tomorrow, or another day, about the angels saying Dennis was framed. Maybe I should blame my retardation on the brain surgery – LOL!
Here’s what I emailed to Dennis after getting up a post on the Key West site around noon today about his conviction. You can see it by clicking on the link in the email.
Good afternoon, Dennis:
My apology, I only just now got today’s Dennis Reeves Cooper framed, the angels say post onto goodmorningkeywest.com. I will include this email in tomorrow’s posting and teaser, to make sure everyone on my email list, and everyone who goes to the different websites on their own, and everyone who reads the Coconut Telegraph at bigpinekey.com will see it. I included at the end of the post the entire text from your article, and at the beginning is a link to Key West the Newspaper.

Received an email invitation from KONK Radio this morning to attend its post election party tomorrow night in Key West. Darn if I have missed running for office this year even a little bit. I told Antonio when we talked yesterday that when I ran for office, I told the audiences at candidate forums that the only reason I was running was because angels told me to run, or else. Then, I said I was the only candidate running for any office who didn’t want to be elected and that alone was reason for them to vote for me. Antonio howled.
From the operating room ….

From me to Antonio yesterday, referencing this in an article on his website:
There was this one time when the Pope (a friend) called him: “He asked me, ‘Antonio, what can we do to Christianize Europe?’ and I said, ‘You’re asking me? You talk to Him.’”
Hi, Antonio.
Can’t imagine having congress with a Pope. [Pope Paul II, the previous Pope] And then your brother, the “Black Pope” re the Jesuits. [The head Jesuit] Dora Kalff, about whom I wrote the other day, Sandplay founder, who was close to the Dalai Lama, became friends with the Eastern Orthodox Pope, not sure spelling of his last name, something like Argonarus? Dora met him either en route to, or en route from, meeting the Dalai Lama in India, as I recall.

How that came about, when the Tibetans had to vacate Tibet, Switzerland took in numerous Tibetan refugees due to kindred sentiment – both were neutral mountain countries. Dora took in a Tibetan man. By and by, she realized he was not just an ordinary man, and he admitted he was a lama. Eventually, he made introductions for her with the Dalai Lama. After she met with him and they had talked a while, he said he wanted her to meet his teacher, and they went to where he was and she met the Dalai Lama’s teacher. I heard her tell this story herself, and about meeting the Eastern Orthodox Pope, although I think they use a different word than Pope?

I came to feel the Eastern Church was more grounded because it allowed its clergy to marry. I came to feel, perhaps wrongly, that the Rome Church was more the Church of Paul. Many times I was told Paul was homosexual, not practicing, and that explained his twisted views of men being closer to God than women and his advocating celibacy between men and women. I was told there wasn’t a woman near Paul who didn’t know he was homosexual. He wrote somewhere, as I recall, that men and women should stop having sex because Christ’s return was imminent and no point in making more babies. If Christendom had bought that line all the way, it would have died out pretty pronto, I imagine.

The stuff I was told about Paul and the players in the Gospels, well, I suppose it’s a darn good thing I’m not Roman Catholic, for surely I would be excommunicated back to the day I was born, if I uttered so much as a word of it. Then, I would burned at the stake, or something similar.

My wife, who was Dora Kalff’s student, the wife I slept beside when I was told in my sleep, “With respect to St. John of the Cross, you haven’t seen anything yet,” the wife who became enamored with the Cathars and with Rosa Mystica and Chartres Cathedral, and who was convinced she had been Mary Magdalene, as was I convinced, kept threatening to get a muzzle for me. Finally, I went to a pet store one December and bought a muzzle and put it down at the bottom of her Christmas stocking. When she dug it out of the stocking Christmas morning, she was fit to be tied because she figured I had gotten it for her to wear. I didn’t say anything to dissuade her.

Here’s the link for yesterday’s post, in which some mention of you: accomplishments – the Coconut Telelgraph. Perhaps I took some poetic license at the very end, perhaps not.

One other thing about my conversation with Antonio the other day. After we had talked a while about the human brain, I said I was taught the more important brain is in the heart. Antonio said something like, yes, that’s a much bigger brain but is seldom used by most people. Can’t imagine the amount of love it must take for God to put up with human beings, especially with this human being.
So far, don’t know how the brain transplant is going. I’m getting vibes that Kali may be the surgeon. Pity the poor lady dolphin who will end up with the worn-out lady dolphin brain I’ve been using. Pity the poor lady dolphin who ended up with my human brain during the first transplant. Now that is serious love.
Ciao

About Sloan

Darn, that would take a while. Try the autobiographical pages in the header. Ditto for header menu pages at www.goodmorningbirmingham.com. Hatched and raised there, eventually I ran away from home. Here's a short list: Born 1942; male; spoken for; accused of all sorts of imaginable and unimaginable things, perhaps some true. Live on Key West of Weird asteroid. Publish something most days at goodmorningkeywest.com, been at that since July 2007. That's heaps of catch-up reading, probably not recommended.
